Sharon Etgar, the form of abstactism
Sharon Etgar is a young artist from Tel Aviv, whose personal and intuitive works translate feelings and emotions into abstract forms such as paintings, collages and needle and thread decorations. Born in Jerusalem in 1975, Sharon Etgar studied in her hometown at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and, later, at the Jerusalem Studio School for Painting and Drawing (JSS). She spent several summers in Italy, where she attended the International School for Painting and Drawing of Montecastello di Vibio, in Umbria. Etgar’s works have been exhibited in many galleries, including the David & Langdale Company in New York and the Inga Gallery in Tel Aviv.
